Overview
The Additel 878-1210 is the reference-grade sibling of the ADT875-1210 thermocouple calibration furnace. Same 100 °C to 1210 °C range and Advanced Adaptive Control (wind-tunnel plus 3-zone), but tighter display accuracy — ±1.5 °C at 1210 °C versus ±2.0 °C on the 875 — plus tighter axial and radial uniformity. Published 878-1210 specs require XR-style metallic inserts (138 mm / 5.43 in, 24.8 mm OD). Portable: 23.4 lb (10.6 kg), 6.5-inch color touchscreen.
The optional Process Calibrator (PC) option adds documenting electronics. On the 878-1210 furnace that is a reference-grade thermocouple channel plus 4 UUT channels (Quick-Push connectors), mA / voltage / switch test and 24 V on CH1–CH2, HART, as-found / as-left tasks, snapshot, data logging, external-probe control, and self-calibration. On the 878 Series dry wells the PC option is a reference PRT input plus two UUT channels (RTD / TC / mA / voltage / switch), a full HART communicator, and the same documenting and self-cal features.
The same ADT878 family also includes the 878 Series reference dry wells — 878-160 (−40 to 160 °C, ±0.1 °C), 878-425 (33 to 425 °C, ±0.2 °C), and 878-700 (33 to 700 °C, up to ±0.25 °C) — with dual-zone control, 0.001 °C resolution, optional automatic TPW realization (878-160 + ADT878-TPW kit), and automatic PRT annealing (878-700).
