Overview
The PIE 311Plus combines a full-function diagnostic milliamp calibrator with a laboratory-grade RTD calibrator in one palm-sized instrument. Source and read 0.000 to 24.000 mA, simulate two-wire transmitters, power and measure transmitters with an internal 24 V supply, and use the built-in 250 Ω resistor for HART compatibility—plus PIE’s patented Ground Leak Detection (US Patent 7,248,058).
The RTD side sources and reads 12 RTD types including Platinum 10, 50, 100, 200, 500 & 1000 Ω (α = 3850); Platinum 100 Ω (α = 3902, 3916, 3926); Copper 10 & 50 Ω; and Nickel 120 Ω. Resistance ranges cover 0.00 to 401.00 Ω and 0.0 to 4010.0 Ω. Automatic connection indication and secondary displays of resistance and excitation current help troubleshoot sensor wiring and instrument inputs.
Automatic stepping (2–21 steps) and EZ-CHECK make loop and temperature calibration fast in the plant or field. Rubber boot and backlit display included. Made in the USA with NIST-traceable calibration.
