Overview
The PIECAL 211 checks and calibrates RTD instruments and measures RTD sensors directly in °C or °F—no decade box or resistance tables required. It works with Platinum 100 (α = 3850, 3902, 3926) and 1000 (α = 3850, 3750) Ω, Copper 10 & 50 Ω, and Nickel 120 Ω, and can also function as a decade box from 0.00 to 401.00 Ω and 0.0 to 2001.0 Ω.
Set any temperature to within 0.1° with the digital potentiometer dial, store three values for instant EZ-CHECK™ recall, and auto-step the output in 2, 3, 5, 11, or 21 steps (100% down to 5% of span) with selectable step times. Connect directly to RTD inputs on smart transmitters, PLCs, DCS, and multichannel recorders—including instruments with pulsed excitation currents.
Patented connection detection helps troubleshoot 2-, 3-, and 4-wire RTD sensors and find broken wires. The handheld unit includes a rubber boot, tilt stand, and backlit display. Made in the USA with a NIST-traceable Certificate of Calibration.
