Overview
The Additel 946A is a benchtop hydraulic comparison test pump designed to generate 0 to 15,000 psi (1,000 bar) gauge. A dual-piston system uses the hand pump to fill large-volume workloads, then a high-pressure fine-adjust screw press to raise and lower pressure smoothly. An isolation valve separates the calibration volume from the hand-pump check valve — a common leak and maintenance point — so measurements stay more stable and the pump needs less service. Three hand-tight quick connectors take the test gauge and reference gauge(s) without PTFE tape or wrenches.
ADT946A ships with mineral oil as the default media (250 ml included). Order ADT946AW when the media must be deionized water. Additel notes that stability is best with oil and that performance may decrease with water. The reservoir is 25.6 in3 (420 ml). Port choices are 1/4 NPT, 1/2 NPT, 1/4 BSP, 1/2 BSP, or M20x1.5 female. SET models add the 9910 carrying case. The pump weighs 26.5 lb (12 kg); height 7.8 in (200 mm), base 18.1 x 14.3 in (460 x 365 mm).
